SLS helps individuals make meaningful choices toward their personal goals in relationships and the community. Our SLS program was initially developed to help individuals with developmental disabilities successfully transition to the community from Porterville Developmental Center (PDC).
We employee, train, and manage, team members who provide the direct support needed for individuals to continue to live in their own homes. All services are person-centered and tailored to meet the unique needs and preferred futures for our clients. We aim to provide high-quality, relationship-based supports for adults with developmental disabilities.
In addition to proving traditional SLS, we also provide Enhanced Supported Living Services (ESLS). ESLS was developed for adults with developmental disabilities with complex needs, who require enhanced support to live successfully in the community. While encompassing all the components of traditional SLS, this program focuses on individuals with higher level of support needs.
Enhanced supports may include: additional staffing supports, clinical consultation, enhanced training and supervision for support staff. ESLS services provide enhanced tailored supports with a focus on serving individuals who have not been successful in other services and settings and/or who may be at risk of placement in a more restrictive environment.
