Michael moved into Waldo House after having lived in secure facilities for years. He has many strengths, he is very funny, respectful and kind. He also had a number of behavioral challenges. These challenges has historically prevented Michael from living in the community. When he moved into Waldo House, it was difficult to believe that he could be successful in a community placement. There were not many placement options.
While at Waldo House, Michael made significant progress in learning how to approach the challenges he faces. After living at Waldo House for just over a year, he was so successful in dealing with challenging situations that he transitioned into his own apartment in the community!
